A Russo-American novelist, wife of J. A.; born (Elagina) on her father's estate near Tula, Russia, April, 1850. She graduated from the Tula Female Seminary in 1866. Her first novel was written in Russian under the pseudonym "Pavel Kashirin"; she has written in English one called "Xenia Repnina". Her articles in American and European periodicals made her widely known. Died 1904.

- An enzyme that catalyzes the of groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2.3.1.5.
