The amount of plasma flowing to the parts of the kidney that have a function in the production of constituents of urine. It is the amount of plasma perfusing the kidney tubules per unit time, generally measured by p-aminohippurate clearance. - An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
