(1721-1807), was Connecticut Commissioner to the Stamp-Act Congress in 1765, Judge of the Superior Court from 1766 to 1793, a delegate to the Continental Congresses of 1774, 1775 and 1778, and a member of the Connecticut Committee of Safety in 1775.
