A redundant flow of milk, either in a female who is suckling, or in one who is not. It may occur without being provoked by suckling. When to a great extent, it sometimes causes wasting; Tabes lactea, T. nutricum. Dr. Good uses Galactia, in his Nosology, for 'morbid flow or deficiency of milk,' Galactacratia.
