A Woman's Hat, in French; Capis'trum, from caput, ' head.' A sort of bandage, which, in shape, resembles a riding-hood. There are several kinds of Capelines :-1. That of the head, C. de la tete, Fas'cia capita'lis. See Bonnet d'Hippocrate. C. of the clavicle, employed in fractures of the acromion, clavicle, and spine of the scapula. C. of an amputated limb-the bandage applied round the stump.
